The term meme is a theoretical concept introdced in 1976 by Richard Dawkins, it refers to any unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice, idea or concept, which once mind transmits whether verbally or by demonstration, to another.
Different definitions of meme typically agree, albeit loosely, that a meme consists of some type of self-propagating unit of cultural evolution, and has an analogous resemblance to the gene. (The unit of genetic information)
